I realize I may have inadvertently created some confusion with bloggity hopping around recently. As a general rule, I’m prone to creating confusion (as Plato said, know thyself…), but please allow me to clarify a bit:
I’ve kept a food blog (The Food Adventuress) for a while as I explore musings related to that particular obsession in my life. There was previously a sort of personal/family blog (Chez Stephens) as well, but I finally adopted it officially and morphed it here as I’ve found that increasingly, The Little Magpie is an appropriate repository for all my random explorations. As in life, they simply overlap and putting them in separate silos can be confusing.
Currently, there is a series of (Foodie) Life Lessons from Mom running throughout the month of October over on The Food Adventuress. It began here a couple of weeks ago with a little introductory piece about Mom, and since then I’ve published three of the subsequent five planned posts in the series. I admit, it was partially my dabbling effort at a running series and partially an experiment to explore whether or not The Food Adventuress should be kept alive or morphed into this catchall blog as a category.
So. First, if you’d like, check out the previous posts, gathered here for your convenience:
(Foodie) Life Lessons Learned from Mom Part 1: Attempting to not breed picky eaters
(Foodie) Life Lessons from Mom Part 2: Preparation, preparation
(Foodie) Life Lessons from Mom Part 3: Read the instructions (and then you can ignore them)
(Foodie) Life Lessons from Mom Part 4: Seek ample inspiration, then embellish and elaborate
(Foodie) Life Lessons from Mom Part 5: Honor tradition
Let me know what you thought, and let me know if The Food Adventuress deserves to be kept alive as a free-standing blog or simply folded into The Little Magpie as a dedicated category. Obviously, I realize how my blog(s) function is hardly the subject of your nightly musing and you may have better things to do… but your opinion would be most appreciated if you care to share it. Thanks for reading.
