My kitchen and I just received the BEST compliment ever – a kitchen tour feature on nwaFoodie! It’s a bit hard to describe how much I adore my friend Lyndi, but you may already know since I feel compelled to mention her all. The. Time.
She somehow made my kitchen look glistening and worthy of a magazine spread. I’m shocked, because I know it isn’t as clean as it appears. However, I am pretty fond of it and all the cool things my husband has done (hours of wedging tile into awkward corners, rewiring ancient electrical with industrial chic lights, redoing the pantry) to make it mine.
It’s a cozy space to cook and to sip wine with a friend, and I even love its weird, elongated style when I’m stepping over my husband and kids playing with fridge magnets while I make dinner, as we did last night.
Check out the feature and tell me what you think, and be sure to explore and subscribe to Lyndi’s fabulous food blog. I’ll be featuring her kitchen tour one of these days, and it will blow you away! For now, you can check out her pantry in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette!
A kitchen really is a heart of a home, especially when it is full of kitchen magnet rearranging kiddos. Thanks for the kind words and the shout-out… back at cha’!
Oh, I was trying to find the post on your blog that talked about your grandma’s worn piece of paper with recipe equivalents. Would you mind reposting it in my comment section or in yours? Thanks girlie girl!
Love ya!
Lyndi
Love this post!!! How adorable is your house?!? Love all of the character and nooks and chalkboards, of course!!! Now I’m nervous about our play date. You know I’m not a “cooker”. But I can make a mimosa. Haha!
LOVED Lyndi’s post. I can’t wait to have a home of my own and make a beautifully functional kitchen I love to use. I hate mine now :/ It’s a crap galley kitchen with no storage.
I’ve got kitchen envy!
Thanks Kim… yet…if I know you… you will still find a way to make it shine!
